Appraisal meeting of National Ideals & Contribution was held in Beijing, by China Science association, National Development & Reform Commission and State Assets Administration Committee. There are 119 advanced collectives, 100 Sci-tech pioneers and 99 excellent organizers borned in this meeting. ECC was granted as National Advanced Collective, together with 4 other ventures from Shanghai, sucha as Bao Steel.

Ideal & Contribution Activity has been lasted for 2 years, about 18000 ventures joined this activitys. The items for conserving energy & consumpution, reducing emission and increasing effeience amount to about 22000, as a result, the national saved cost of RMB6 billion and increased income of RMB11.6 billion. Mr Han Qide, the vice committee chief of Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and President of China Science Association, said that the activity plays a great role in improving ventures’ technical innovation capability, training technical innovation persons and populazation of technical knowledge and so on.
