ECC Correspondent: In order to further enterprise’s self determination of innovation for promotion of product upgrade, ECC New Product Development has successfully developed 55000DWT5 Marine Switchgear based on a large amount of work done by ECC International Trade Managing Division on development of marine switchgear project.
For more scientific significance and pertinence on development of marine switchgear, chief persons in charge of marine apparatus project of ECC International Trade Managing Division Shi Xizheng, Lu jiang, Li Haijing were in gauging in market investigation for more than two months. They digested a lot of opinions from marine experts and collected a variety of market data, then they made a systematic analysis and reasoning on different famous types of such cubicles. On November 10, 2008, they organized and held a meeting titled “Initial Type Selection of Marine Switchgears”, submitted all kinds and documents relevant to marine cubicles to the meeting for discussion. Through serious discussion and study, the meeting worked out an initial development program, decided a particular type of ECC marine switchgear.
According to the essence of the meeting, and opinions and suggestions of all participants, an engineer by the name of Shen Guohuang from ECC New Product Development Division got to design and eventually worked out a set of prototype marine switchgear scheme of 55000DWT5 including generator panel, emergent distributing room, incoming panel, feeder panel and fixed isolated panel. On December 2, 2008, ECC International Trade Managing Division organized a Marine Switchgear Type Scheme Review to discuss, correct and approve the scheme. At the meeting, Mr. Shen Guohuang expounded and demonstrated his type scheme in detail in characteristics of marine cubicles, general layout of cubicle, division of cubicle area, busbar system, and marine applications.
After thorough discussion among relevant ECC leaders, engineers and technicians Shi Xizheng, Qu Peibin, Li Chong, Cheng Xi’an, Chen Qiaozi and Li Haijing, the meeting achieved an initial agreement. The successful development and later practice program of the marine project will make a great contribution to newly-built ECC Industrial Zone to be completed in 2009 for its enormous productive capacity. The flashing point in new product development is of very importance and the significance is no lower than the GEAplus 2.0 Low Voltage Switchgear introduced from GE in 2005 without any exaggeration.
