On July 5, 2007, Mr. Sun Weiguo, CPC Sacretary of Hongkou District, Shanghai and Mr. Bao Jianqiang, Deputy Chief of Hongkou District, Shanghai came to ECC for a survey and instruction.   On behalf of whole ECC employees, Mr. Chen Qingqian, ECC Board Chairman and ECC President, expressed his warm welcome and sincere thankfulness to them and gave an introduction to present ECC cadres.  Mr. Chen gave a talk mainly in three aspects to our VIPs in the occasion.

    1   Development pregress of ECC    It is not so easy to gain the present achievement through ten years’ painstaking efforts.   It is indispensable to the great efforts made by ECC staffs and workers as well as to the great support made by Hongkou District Peoples’ Government at all levels.   If Nanhui is my foothold in Shanghai, then Hongkou is my flying place in Shanghai.  As a matter of fact, I always have a very deep appreciation for Hongkou District.

      2   Development orientation of ECC   For years, ECC has got a great many reputations under the great support and care of our government at all levels and great efforts of our ECC employees.  We will not enjoy our reputations only. We will take an active execution of scientific and technological renovations and develop new products ceaselessly to vitalize our enterprise.  During the cooperation with world famous electric enterprises, we have learned a great deal  of advanced sci-tech knowledge, strict quality management and leading business conception to stride a rigid step toward the development of hi-tech and high orientation products.  This year we will explore military engineering domain, go all out to execute sci-tech renovated development strategy, develop high grade products, high quality products, high value added products in orientation of internationalization of our enterprise.

     3   Expectation of ECC development    In view of rapid of ECC development in recent years, we have made a perspective program.  In this program, we will set ECC headguarter, administrative office, sale division and service organization at Hongkou District and set our productive base at Nanhui District.  According to actual development of our enterprise, GE Electric has an intention that they will let us prepare their technical service center.  ECC Military Product Division is now under construction.  We will construct an office building of ECC Group to contrive a long term development and at meantime to make a contribution in Hongkou economy.   I will take this opportunity to request an even greater help granted by Hongkou District People’s Government and present leaders.

       Mr. Li Xiuming, Secretary of Party Branch, made an introduction to our guests in terms of ECC’s Party construction and expounded ECC Party Branch’s double cultivation project (cultivation of Party member into excellent employee and vice versa), political and ideological work, spirit civilization work etc..  Mr. Shi Xizheng, special assistant of ECC president, introduced an cooperation with GE and its content, progress and achivement.  Mr. Shi made an emphasis that serving the customer needs painstaking effort, cultivation of responsibility of our employee is an eternal target, spirit and speciality are indispensable.

       Finally, Mr. Sun Weiguo, CPC Secretary of Hongkou District, gave an impression on listening to the ECC report.   He said, after 10 years’ development, ECC made an great success.  It is not so easy.  ECC’s development may be divided into three steps:  first, development in Wenzhou; second, rising up in Shanghai and third, cooperation with foreign countries.  CPC Hongkou Commission and Hongkou Government look up to the development of non-governmental enterprises.  This is also a call from CPC Central Commission.   Enterprise development depends on market.  In the severe market competition, high-tech and able persons are indispensable.   Listening your introduction, I have got a feeling that ECC brings sci-tech and able persons into full play so that you have won a great success in the competition.

    As we all know, the existence of an enterprise needs a sound enterprise culture and Party construction.  I am greatly moved that this point of view is fully embodied in non-governmental enterprises nowadays.  Mr. Sun also encouraged ECC Group to fully execute a development strategy of sci-tech renovation to develop high grade products and high quality producs for contribution in the national revitalization.
